Fourth-Graders' Button-Making-Machine Privileges Suspended Indefinitely

Here's a great little article from several years ago I just stumbled upon. From the Onion: Fourth-Graders' Button-Making-Machine Privileges Suspended Indefinitely.

Here's the best part: "The girls were doing a lot of buttons about stuff they liked, like The Backstreet Boys and horses," Chao said. "But then the boys started doing all these mean, funny ones, like 'Student Council Sucks' and 'Mr. Cecil Is Gay.' One boy made, like, 10 different buttons calling different people gay."

FYI: The article mentions the Badge-A-Minit button machine, which is substantially inferior to the Tecre machine we use here at Lollypins.

Free buttons to bloggers for blogging

Gotta blog? We'll give you five free buttons of your choice for posting about Lollypins!

Everybody loves buttons, and we have a new site devoted to showcasing artists who design some of the best. And we want you, the cool trend setter that you are, to be the one who tells their friends about it. What's in it for you? Free buttons of course!

All you have to do is post an entry on your blog with a link to Lollypins, and then either comment to this entry with your website's URL or send an email to contact at lollypins.com with the info. Once we check out your entry, we'll reply to your email or comment with instructions on how to choose your five faves from our catalogue. The only rule is that your blog must already be established, so brand new blogs or blogs with only a few entries won't qualify.

It's that simple. No catch, no gimmicks. We know that once you receive your buttons, you'll like them so much, you'll want to update your blog again exclaiming their true real-life awesomeness!

Feel free to link to any button graphics you might need in your blog entry. After all, everybody loves buttons.

Update: This promotion is now over. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Free artist buttons

Just as promised in the Lollypins Launch! Free gift for you! post, we have a fresh batch of buttons to mail out.

Thanks again to all of you who have submitted designs so diligently.

Can you spot your button in the image below? To those of you who missed the deadline, don't worry, because we'll make other efforts to get you a few buttons when we get the chance.

Lollypins launch! Free gift for you!

As a special thanks, and for some early merry holiday wishes, we'd like to send you a gift basket (not really in a basket) of the buttons you have designed! You'll receive three buttons of each of your designs. That way you'll feel comfortable endorsing the buttons we make bearing your designs and have something sweet to share with family and friends.

To make sure that you are eligible for your free buttons, you must have at least six approved designs by December 15.
